The Conex Project
A Conex is more commonly known as a shipping container. Our partners help to fill a Conex according to specific build-outs including:
Point of Distribution Kit (POD)
Forward Staging Area Kit (FSA)
The Conex is then moved via truck and strategically placed within the Disaster Area of Operations (DAO) to a support organization, partner or community. All items are inventoried and securely stored. This project reduces vehicle congestion in the DAO and promotes fiscal responsibility of Donor Dollars by performing targeted buys according to true needs identified by the DLB IMAT, GIS Team and its partners.
Independent council for disaster organization TRANSPARENCY (icdot)
ICDOT is an independent panel comprised of Retired Law Enforcement Officers, Emergency Managers and Volunteer Organization Representatives.
Their mission is to assist Disaster focused organizations with continuity of operations, advisement for scalability, strategic partnerships and inclusion in the Disaster Supply Chain, along with providing a report to the ICDOT Panel who will assign a public distributed efficiency rating to the organization and provide supporting documentation as to their decision.
Further, if the council deems it necessary, they will pass pertinent information to Law Enforcement Agencies for follow up investigations, should there be probable cause for fraud or illegal activities.
